SKO Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Greetings.. Migrating from PS there are still so many issues happening in the work flow, I tend to work around it and then I forget but this is so weird it has to be me doing something "wrong" but this one comes back and now I have it fresh I'll engage Marquee on a layer and hit [backspace] and the layer is... deleted...? Reset, use {Edit} menu and use [Cut or Cmd X] and the layers is... deleted...? Why ? Thank you for explaining this idiosyncrasy BR SKO Quote
PaulEC Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Probably because the layer is an Image layer not a Pixel layer. Right click on the layer, choose "Rasterize" and try again. Hangman Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Hi @SKO, Just adding to @PaulEC's feedback... This is something that is being much improved in version 2.6 (currently in Public Beta) where Image and RAW layers can be used with raster selections when deleting and duplicating which means you will no longer need to rasterise the Image layer first. SKO Posted February 2 Author Posted February 2 Hi guys, Thank you for your replies - you're correct, I had already forgotten I had to "rasterise" the layer, and I forgot because it's not very "logical" that you have to transform an image to edit or manipulate it with image (photo) editing software.. Thx :^) PROdult 1 Quote
