weird asset thumbnails in AD1.5beta6 - incorrect scaling?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

When I add assets to the assets panel, if the assets are elongated only a part of the asset is shown in the thumbnail, which looks a bit odd (e.g. see attached screenshot). It might be better to scale them such that the longest dimension of the asset fits within the boundaries of the thumbnail area.

Cheers,

Oliver.

Hi olibclarke

This is actually intentional, with really large assets the thumbnails become very hard to see clearly so we only show a small part to make t more recognisable. Having the assets tab show the full thumbnail is more of an improvement so I;m going to move this over to the feature requests section

cheers

Fair enough, that makes sense - it does mean for medium sized assets though they can become not recognizable, because only a small part of the object is shown.

Cheers,

Oliver.
