Homrighaus Posted February 1 Posted February 1 I purchased a copy of Affinity Publisher 2 for Windows, intended as a gift for a club newsletter co-editor. I received the confirming email with the download button, and forwarded it to him, but it won't open without a password. Does he need my password? Should this have been ordered in a different way?? walt.farrell Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Welcome to the Affinity forums. He will need your email address, and your Affinity Store account password, and the purchase is forever tied to that email address and account. There is basically no way to purchase the application license as a gift for someone else, and no way to transfer a license to a different user. Other users have asked about this, and though Serif used to allow gift purchases in the distant past, they changed their systems at some time and have never made gifting possible again. You can request a refund by emailing affinityreturns@serif.com and then you might consider sending him some cash to use for the purchase, or purchasing a gift card from the Mac App Store or the Microsoft Store, and sending him that.
