Serenity Neu Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Hope this isn't an issue only affecting me, but I'm having huge troubles selecting individual objects I've placed on layers in Publisher 2 now. In the previous version of Publisher I could simply click on an object and then hold Shift down on my keyboard to add more objects to the selection. Now I have to go to the layers palette, click on a layer, then attempt to select only one object on a layer. If I miss because there are multiple objects near each other, I have to repeat this. And I cannot select more than one object at a time. It is a massive time wasting problem. Any ideas how to fix this unwelcome new behavior? Quote
Staff NathanC Posted January 31 Staff Posted January 31 Hi @Serenity Neu, With the move tool selected you can change the Auto select behaviour from 'Default' to 'Objects' along the context toolbar. Single clicking will then only select objects on the page. Regardless of the Auto-Select behaviour holding shift should allow for multiple objects to be selected. If this isn't working can you provide a screen recording, and perhaps a sample file? Thanks Serenity Neu 1 Quote

Shouldn't the real default behavior for the move tool always be set to Objects? In any event, thanks for the help and I'll keep my eye out for this in case there is a next time. Much appreciated.
