Asynchronite Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Hello everyone, first time posting here. I've recently started using Affinity Designer, and essentially I downloaded an SVG of a cloud, and imported it to designer. Now, I want to apply a gradient to the cloud's outline to create something later down the line, but it appears that the gradient tool just refuses to work. I attached both the SVG and a video of me trying it for reference. Thank you guys in advance for any help! 64cb8672-e826-4b99-9227-0c863aa0be1b.mp4 cloud-svgrepo-com.svg Quote
Komatös Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Hi @Asynchronite and welcome to the forums. The cloud has no outline. Use the layer fx and add a outline. Set the filling style to gradient. lepr Posted January 29 Posted January 29 If you will be wanting an unrasterised export, do not use FX. Instead, double-click the embedded SVG to open it in a separate tab, apply a gradient to the cloud as required, then close that tab to save the edit. Note that if you make both parent and child document tabs visible simultaneously, you will see the embedded document updating in the context of the parent window as you make edits in the child window. Thank you for the help! This seems to have worked out! lepr 1 Quote
