anto Posted January 28 Posted January 28 I want to automatically create bookmarks from a character style, for example, “bookm_style”. How do I do this? Quote
MikeTO Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Hi, I assume you mean PDF Bookmarks which are generated from Anchors in Affinity. There's no way to generate anchors from a character style. PDF bookmarks can be generated automatically by the TOC feature, but only from paragraph styles. Perhaps you could use paragraph styles instead? For example, if you have a character style named Emphasis and it's applied to text formatted with the Body paragraph style, you could create a paragraph style named Body-Emphasis based on Body. It would be identical to Body and you'd still have to apply Emphasis to the desired characters in that paragraph. Then you'd create a TOC, and if you have one already this would be a second TOC. This TOC would include just the single style Body-Emphasis. Generating the TOC would generate anchors for the character style. The TOC could be hidden so that it wasn't visible in the document. Perhaps there's another way to do this but it's the first idea that came to mind. Good luck! anto 1 Quote Download a free PDF manual for Affinity Publisher 2.5 Download a quick reference chart for Affinity's Special Characters Affinity 2.5 for macOS Sequoia 15.3, MacBook Pro (M4 Pro) and iPad Air (M2)

When I insert the table of contents and select show page number, all the entries have page number 1. Although there is nothing on the first page. How can I change this? Quote

I don't know how that could happen. Is the number before the text or after it? If it's before then paragraph numbering might be turned on. You can also review the generated anchors with the TOC panel. Do they show the right page numbers? MikeTO Posted January 29 Posted January 29 Sorry, there aren't any page numbers for the Anchors panel. Select one of the anchors and click the Go To Anchor button at the bottom left - does it take you to page 1 or the correct page?
