So, i am trying to build my children's book and am laying it out in affinity (v indesign because, well, this is the software i have.) So i have to export it as a pdf for the printer to be able to use it, since they use indesign.

When i try to export to PDF i am getting this strange strip on the right half of the right spreads that seem to be adjusting the levels, or removing the adjustment layer that is on the photo files.

i thought maybe there was someething messed up on my first project, so i did it again. the only things i've copied and pasted are the text blocks. As you can see the problem is NOT in the affinity photo documents: when i moved some images to the left spread they no longer have the problem, and when images that looked fine on the left were moved to the right they had the problem.

but not ALL pages have the problem.

WHAT THE HECK GREMLIN MYSTERY IS THIS??? I'm losing my mind and i need this sucker ready to go to print in a few weeks.

Any ideas???
