Hi,

I've found that mask on group works differently than on layer, actually rendering the mask instead of applying it.

Attached the picture. As you can see there is white border around the red, and it should not be there. When you rasterize the group it renders correctly.

If you enable the pixel layer on top you can see it renders correctly.

Note: This bug is fixed in the current 2.6 beta, which should be available out of beta very soon

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. The bug existed for at least the 7.5 years that I've used Affinity apps.

That's very worrying. I'm trying to switch from Adobe products to alternatives, and seeing that such a very basic and important feature was ignored for so many years is very concerning.

You’re going to be frustrated by Affinity’s dual personality Passthrough blend mode, which is not a bug and therefore very unlikely to change.
