Rococopops Posted January 26 Posted January 26 I have a curved object that shows a fill color when it is outside of a group. When I add it to any group it is no longer filled with a color. Screen 1 shows outside of the group Screen 2 shows inside a group Any ideas why this is happening? I want the curve object to show in a group. Quote
Ldina Posted January 27 Posted January 27 @Rococopops Welcome to the forum! It looks like you are making that black hand a 'child layer' of your group called 'left arm' So, whatever is in your child layer will clipped to the boundaries of the parent group layer. That black hand is entirely outside those boundaries, so it doesn't show up. The curves you used to create the arm don't extend into the hand area. If you edit the Left Arm Curve (e.g., moving those nodes using the Node Tool) and extend that portion so it includes the hand area, it ought to show up. That is definitely by design. This is what the group looks like (first enlarged part), this is what the clipping looks like (second enlarged part). vs If the clipping was not intentional, select the nested layers/curves, remove them from the clipping object, and group them (Ctrl+G). Rococopops Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 Thank you both for your help! My problem was they were never in the group to begin with, me dragging and dropping them together did not make them a group as the "down arrow" icon was not there, thank you again this is something I did not notice. I fixed this by moving them out the "fake" group, selecting the correct curve objects, and then clicking on the "Group Layers" icon. Quote
