AgnieszkaLorelai Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Hi, I have HUGE problem with printing several pages from the book to the pdf file. 1. Page orientation: I try to print two pages side by side. The dimension of pages are: 203 x 254 mm (portrait). So the dimension of two facing pages are 406 x 254. I set those values and choose orientation "portrait". The first try makes me file with dimentions 254 x 406 (sides are cut). In the second try I choose landscape (don't change dimentions) -> result is the same. In the third try I return to portrait orientation -> finally good print. BUT! Only good regarding dimmention and orientation. Now the other BUGs start: 2. Page order I choose to print pages 64-71 (it means 64-65, 66-67, 68-69, 70-71). What I get is: 64-61 68-65 66-67 72-69 70-71 It is all MIXED UP! And the problem repeats... I really wat to say good buy to Adobe and buy your products, but I just can't do a simple thing... Best regards Agnieszka Rajczak-Kucińska Quote
Hangman Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Hi @AgnieszkaLorelai and welcome to the forums, It would be helpful if we could take a look at your file or if that is not an option see some screenshots showing the full UI including the Pages panel with Pages 64 to 71 visible... Even better would be if you could create a screen recording showing us the steps you're taking when exporting that page range, again with those pages visible in the Pages panel as that will likely highlight where the issue lies... AgnieszkaLorelai Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 OK, I tried to record it several times - each time it is cut. But the main thing is recorded: https://screenrec.com/share/ZqLnT0NuRo I found out, that when I want to "print facing pages" for preview, I need to use N-UP model, not a BOOK model. But the BOOK model works strange, as it print pages I didn't choose to print. As you can see I didn't choos pages 61, or 72... Quote

If you use "Book" (or "Booklet") it will impose the pages. (i.e. the pages will be in the order needed to print them as a book or booklet!) anto Posted January 28 Posted January 28 This is a well-known problem that has not been solved for years. Here are some of them. There are dozens of them on the forum. Quote
anto Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Quote As you've found, it's not currently possible to define the number of pages to be used in the booklet imposition in the print dialog on a single document because the print model setting applies to all pages within the file. An alternative approach i've tried is to split the document into sections via the section manager and then untick 'include on export' on all sections except the section/pages I want to create the booklet for and then print, but this results in each page printing on a separate page. anto Posted January 28 Posted January 28 While this bug hasn't been fixed yet and you don't know how many years it will take to fix it, you can install a free virtual printer PDF-XChange Printer lite free that prints booklets over a selected range. https://www.pdf-xchange.com/products 2025-01-28 10-05-06.mp4 Quote
