[Designer 2.5.7][BUG][Ungroupping, with Symbols>Sync>On, shifts other (parent?) objects which don't return to their position with Undo]

BASIC INFO

  • App & version: Designer 2.5.7
  • OS & version: Windows 11 (up-to-date)
  • Graphic card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (up-to-date)
  • Hardware acceleration: On & Off
  • Reproducibility: Always
  • Affects new document?: Probably?

WHAT HAS HAPPENED
(Is this a bug?) The document always starts always with "Symbols>Sync>On", even though it was saved with "Sync" off.

While Sync=ON, if you ungroup (Ctrl+Shift+G) the group at the bottom of the attached file (see section "Minimal Steps), which is a bunch of objects created from duplicating others (Ctrl+J, Ctrl+drag-and-drop, or Ctrl+C/V, or a mix, not sure how it reached the document its current state), the parent/source (?) objects do SHIFT in position.

If you hit Undo (Ctrl+Z), the wrongly shifted objects do NOT RETURN to its previous position.

If you regroup (Ctrl+G) and ungroup (Ctrl+Shift+G) again, the wrongly shifted objects DISAPPEAR (most probably shifted farther away from the paper limits).

WHAT SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED
The parent/source (?) objects should have not being affected at all, regarless of Sync=ON, because the objects themselves were not being modified but just ungroupped.

MINIMAL STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Couldn't find the trigger nor reproduce it on a new file, so I include the affected document for inspection: Syn-ON ungroup shifts and not undo bug.afdesign

BUG
Sync=ON ungroupping shifts and do not undo other objects positions

I can see that happening on my iPad, too, using your file. I'm not sure what's going on.

Can confirm this is a bug which I've now logged with the developers.

I've also replicated and logged the offset/undo issue with Sync set to 'On' in your file, thanks for the detailed report.
