AlanX Posted January 24 Posted January 24 The text tool is prone to problems, often with a green background that cannot be removed and the settings do not work Quote
MikeTO Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Hi @AlanX and welcome to the forums. Are you using Publisher or Designer? If you're using Publisher, you can remove the green background by choosing Window > Text Frame to open the Text Frame panel and then change the Fill to none. This works even for Art Text. Otherwise if you're using Designer or Photo, you can remove the background by choosing Edit > Defaults > Revert, but it will remove the formatting, too. If your defaults are messed up and you keep creating text objects with green backgrounds, choose the Frame Text tool, click once on a blank area of the page to remove the text cursor from anything, and choose Edit > Defaults > Factory Reset. Then choose the Art Text tool and choose the same command - you have to do this for both tools separately because they have separate defaults. Then choose Edit > Defaults > Save to ensure that you've saved this for future documents.
