thedivclass Posted January 21 Posted January 21 Symbols (& global colours) help to replicate the links panel in AP, but there are so many instances where linking, as an example, the vector fill of multiple elements would be incredibly handy. Of course, you could simply apply a global colour and then change that global colour, but then that changes every instance of that global colour... so then you could create a new global colour just for those elements, but then that's a lot of global colours to manage and recall. Links provide an excellent solution to always keep multiple vector flood fills the same colour, regardless of the fill (or global colour) applied. Vector fills, opacity & visibility, vector line styles, layer effects - should have linking functionality in Designer. (Global styles would solve much of this too) Thanks Quote
GarryP Posted January 22 Posted January 22 You might find that the States Panel could be useful for what you want to do. See attached video where I am changing the fill for different ‘sets’ of layers where each layer in a ‘set’ has the same name (the Query used to select the ‘sets’ of layers can be more complex than this, what I show is a very basic example). 2025-01-22 10-10-57.mp4 thedivclass 1 Quote
thedivclass Posted January 22 Author Posted January 22 Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately as a constant user of multiple fills I have avoided the States Panel since day 1 due to a critical bug which simply deletes them. I have reported this issue and not heard back. Hopefully this can be fixed, I am very surprised more people haven't encountered or reported it. Quote
