Delphine34140 Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Hi, Is there a best way to transform a picture into a black and white smooth vector to send to my cutting machine ? affinity photo or designer. Below what I 've done and what I am looking for (more smooth) first I went to AD pixel persona and used the selection brush tool I have done first some adjustments (black and white, "seuil" in french (maybe threshold in your english AD ?), and brithness/ contrast on the first one but it remains details I do not want, so I have to deleted them manually adjust curves etc the second try, I put the picture in black and used the pen tool to draw white shapes Thank you Quote

Since the apps don't have an automatic Image to Vector conversion feature you'll likely need to manually trace over your image using the existing vector toolset (Vector Brush, Pencil, Pen). To speed the tracing process you could trace over half of the outline with the pen tool and then duplicate > Flip Horizontally > Position > Node tool 'Join Curves' to combine both sides. You could then assign the combined curve a fill, trace over the inner patterns and then optionally Layer > Geometry > Subtract them from the original curve. Quote
