In V2 the behavior of move tool is strange

  1. new file
  2. create rectangle shape
  3. create another rectangle
  4.  use 2nd shape as mask for 1st shape.
  5. activate move tool
  6. Lock children
  7. try to change shape of parent layer, e.g. rotate the parent.

in Photo and Designer, you can’t adjust the actual parent edges, instead the masked edge is shown. I see no benefit but many issues:

  • when rotating the shape, the masked stays locked (good ), but the preview of parent bounding box rotates the mask which is wrong.
  • When you click a different layer and then again the parent shape, the bounding box changes and again is wrong.

the behavior in Designer V1 (not Photo V1) was better and

  • allowed to change the parent edges independently,
  • showing the correct edge of the mask.
  • showing the mask applied correctly.

I use iPad screenshots and videos even in the Desktop section of the forum when I expect no relevant difference.
