Just getting up to speed with Affinity Publisher. Is there a way to copy and paste the Text Frame Settings (line widths/ Line Colours) and also while I remember is it also possible to copy and paste the text paragraph settings (line indents etc)?

I have a task where the book I am editing for a client has several various different text frame formats over 90 different chapters, which means I am spending ages setting the frame settings..

(I received the base file from the client)

I looked through the Affinity Publisher manual and the only work around I could see was perhaps copying and pasting a text frame and then re-entering the text for each frame manually, which is also taking far too much time.

Any suggestions as to how to speed up the process?

Hi @Kagaku and welcome to the forums.

You can use the Style Picker tool to copy and paste formatting from one paragraph to whatever text you want. However, the more efficient way of doing this would be to format one paragraph the way you want it, create a paragraph style based on that formatting, and then apply the paragraph style to all of the other paragraphs you want to format. For headings and other special cases, format each of them the way you want and create paragraph styles for them, too.

If the text is already formatted with paragraph styles, you can simply edit them with the Text Styles panel.

Good luck

Don't change the Text Frames, change the Paragraph Styles as Mike suggests. I am sure his free (unofficial) PDF manual has lots of information about test styles.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
