I am working with Affinity Publisher 2.5.7 on Windows 11 and am currently laying out an anthology. I am working with various master pages, some of which reference the respective section title in different places (e.g. to create section headings). Creating the sections in the section manager is no problem until I get to section 11, after which the section manager inserts them randomly between existing sections when I call up the section manager to create new sections. Moving them is not possible, and renaming them each time is a pain. This clearly seems to be a bug that I would like to see fixed soon.

Update: it worked by manually counting all remaining sections after section ten, then making them without assigning page numbers up front and then working backwards from the last one to section 10. Not a very intuitive solution...

Hi @Johann Lensing and welcome to the forums. I can't duplicate this issue on macOS, the 11th section is added using the current page as its start page, and as long as that start page is greater than the 10th section, it is added after it.

Could you share a screen recording of adding the 11th section and having it being inserted in the wrong place?

Cheers

I'm also unable to replicate this on Windows, as well as the screen recording could you confirm if this issue is document specific, or can you replicate this on an entirely new document?

Thanks
