lettinggo Posted January 15 Posted January 15 I am on version 2.5.7 on both Designer and Publisher. I opened a file I had created in Designer, in Publisher to be able to print the pages split. When I open it in Designer now, it only shows one page, even though document settings and the print dialogue box show 8 pages. When I scroll thru the print document, it shows all the pages. I have spent the entire morning trying to figure this out. Publisher shows correctly but I can't export to DXF in publisher. I am really frustrated as I need to cut these files today. There is no page scroll bar at the bottom of the page showing any pages. I have attached the file, screenshots of the print and document settings. Please help!! I am not new to graphics programs but I am to affinity. Gerris bag 2.afpub Quote
Hangman Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Hi @lettinggo and welcome to the forums, Because you've converted your Affinity Designer Artboards into Pages when opening the file in Publisher, Designer now treats the Artboards as 'Pages' also. To navigate through the pages in Designer you can use the page navigation arrows at the bottom left of the UI where it says 1 of 8, 2 of 8 etc., You can't directly convert pages back to Artboards so if you are looking to see your file as Artboards again in Designer the easiest option would be to open the file in Publisher, export All Pages using the PDF (for print) preset and then open the PDF in Designer... 1 hour ago, lettinggo said: Publisher shows correctly but I can't export to DXF in publisher. You should be able to export the pages from Publisher to DXF using File → Export and selecting DXF from the file format dropdown... lettinggo Posted January 15 Author Posted January 15 (edited) @hangman. I understand it is turned into pages, and I'm not trying to convert it back to artboards, but the page navigation arrows are not showing on my Desinger UI (see pic) and I can't find anyway to turn it on so I can only see whatever page it decides to open in. also, the dxf is not in the publisher export list. lettinggo Posted January 15 Author Posted January 15 (edited) well doing the pdf and opening in designer will allow me to continue, but it doesn't tell me why it did it to begin with. Edited January 15 by lettinggo Quote

For me on mac in V1 the command "Toggle UI" does hide the status bar, only the document window remains, + scroll bars + main menu. If I then unhide tools, context toolbar, toolbar and panels separately, I get the full UI but without the status bar. Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1

You can turn it off on Windows, unlike macOS. 16 hours ago, lettinggo said: and I can't find anywhere to turn it on if it is off. You need to use View > Toggle UI (default shortcut Tab), probably twice. What probably happened is that you accidentally toggled the UI off, then restored it piecemeal using commands from the View menu (e.g., View > Show Context Toolbar, etc.) rather than simply toggling it on again. lettinggo Posted January 17 Author Posted January 17 thanks to everyone for the help. the toggle interface brought back the status bar at the bottom. I had already brought in the pdf so I can now see all the pages on my workspace. I do have another question though. I have all 3 programs on the same version, 2.5.7 but when in publisher it no longer links to the other programs. I get the Buy now pop up. I have seen others with that issue and am wondering if anyone has heard if that is a known bug in this version. It worked previously. TIA Obscured 1 Quote
lettinggo Posted January 17 Author Posted January 17 yes, I have all of them downloaded in the same format. See attached file. I even uninstalled and reinstalled all the, still not talking to publisher! It worked fine before the upgrade to the newest version Quote

It worked fine before the upgrade to the newest version Can you give us screenshots of the upper-right corner of the Account dialog for each application while it's running? We don't need/want your email address, of course, but the upper-right corner will confirm the release you're running and which installer you used.
