Photo 2.5.7 photoshop plugin issues

Photoshop plugin "StarShrink" from RC Astro works fine with Photo 2.5.5, but generates very weird results on first invocation in 2.5.7, and Photo crashes on a second invocation.

What changed in Photo's PS plugin interface between 2.5.5 and 2.5.7?

Can you please confirm if you are running the MSIX or EXE version of Affinity Photo 2.5.7
