It worked when I typed, but when I pasted text from a text editor, it didn't work. How am I supposed to know these combinations, and why aren't there common combinations by default in all languages? If we analyze how many autocorrect words are made by default for English, Serif should allow batch input the words to be corrected in the form of .txt or .csv files. It's not very well thought out to enter these words manually one by one. Quote

Perhaps that suggests the text in the text editor wasn't a true ellipsis. PaulEC Posted January 14 Posted January 14 I just tried this and in LibreOffice three periods (followed by a space or return) is autocorrected to an ellipsis. If I copy and paste that into APub, it is pasted as an ellipsis (as you would expect). In APub the autocorrect happens when you type the third period (i.e. you don't need to type a space or return). I don't know if this is relevant to the problem, but I thought I'd mention the slight difference. Of course, it doesn't help that three periods and an ellipsis look very similar, so, unless you compare them side by side, it can be a bit difficult to tell the difference! (The easiest way to check is to try deleting it and see if the ellipsis deletes as a single item, unlike three separate periods!) (Copied and Pasted from LibreOffice to APub.) Oufti Posted January 14 Posted January 14 And for those using macOS, to type an ellipsis it's Option+Period (⌥+.) everywhere.
