Dimdam Posted January 14 Posted January 14 (edited) Hello Question that I could not figure out. Most of my work is done in Cad (Moi3d) and send to cnc for cutting. Lately I am doing allot of text and in Moi3d I can export to svg, dxf, pdf. So I want to send these to Affinity to set border and distort etc...but I cannot figure this out. from what I read I need to convert to curves...how would I do this? and which would be the best format to export to , to import in AD? Also after finish in AD how would I convert let say text to outline only (similar to a dxf file to send for cutting) Attached the file in svg. Tnx! tl.svg Edited January 14 by Dimdam Quote
lepr Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Your SVG already does contain curve objects instead of text objects. The stroke which you may apply to a curve can be converted to an object by the Expand Stroke command. However, you should use AD 2.4.2 for that type of project because 2.5.x and the current 2.6 beta do a very poor job of stroke expansion in many/most cases. There is also the Contour Tool, but it uses the same algorithms as stroke expansion and so it is also best in 2.4.2. Quote
