Add nodes at intersections

Recommended Posts

Hi jesele,

Welcome to Affinity Forums.

Adding nodes to intersections may not always be desirable. What you are looking for is called snapping. It picks notable geometry points from shapes (end points, mid points, tangents, intersections etc) and let you snap other objects or nodes to them. You can access it in the top toolbar (third icon group counting from right). Note this feature is still being worked on and not all snapping options are available at this point. Currently is not possible to snap to intersections. But you should see some more improvements soon.

Hi, no I don't mean automatically but sometimes this function would save a lot of time.

Tried all snapping options already and at least not yet found anything that helps.

But of course snap at intersection would help a lot. I know that booleans sometimes helps

but not always.

Jesper

Snap at path intersections will be available soon for direct point snapping.

It was working pre-beta before the snapping overhaul, it just wasn't good enough yet, so was removed from the Beta.
