ham_candy Posted January 9 Posted January 9 I opened Affinity Photo v 2.5.5 today and it updated to 2.5.7. Unfortunately now the app won't load, it gets stuck on the splash saying "Loading Data". I have to force close the app. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling directly from the 2.5.7 MSIX, but it's still not working. This is crazy to release such a buggy installer. Staff Callum Posted January 13 Staff Posted January 13 Hi Ham_candy, If you haven't already please could you try opening the app with the ctrl key held down and when the reset menu appears hit select all and then clear to see if this solves your issue? It might also be worth trying to install the MSIEXE version to see if you have the same issue. Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
Mike Gillett Posted February 2 Posted February 2 I've had the same issue with my new install. I tried both download versions (windows) with the same result. On my initial install i needed to restart windows before the desktop version would open. Initially It just reached the registration sign in page completed whatever it does there and stopped. And today I reopen the desktop program and it again stopped at the loading data point. I tried the cntl key method today by clearing just the data first and second with all resets checked. Neither method worked. I find I must restart windows. Opens then. Unfortunately with the cntl key method all prior data is lost which can be a troublesome. Quote
Mike Gillett Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Yesterday I stopped the program from loading the start up suggested tutorial pages hoping the issue was related to this process. Today the program failed to get beyond the loading data point again. Quote
