GM Manny Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Problem: Exported to PDF and tables are exported in two different ways; Table text is fully highlightable, all text can be selected and highlighted for copying, etc. Table is a single image, and none of the text can be selected, editing PDF shows the table is indeed an image. Why is this happening. It has created a larger problem now with clients who want to reference and select the text within the tables. Here are my theories, but I am uncertain and need guidance to solve this issue. In Publisher, the tables that export as editable, highlightable text are all the chosen "Text Style +" (see image). In Publisher, the tables that export as images are a mix of "Text Style +" and "Text Style" (see image). "Text Style" meaning my chosen text style. It's all the same text style, but for some reason there is a "+" and I have no idea what that "+" is. Quote

The + indicates that the text selected (or part of it) has some format that diverge from the Text style definition (for example, part of it is bold). You can see what it is by clicking on the left side little arrow >. (And because I have a small screen, if it's too long to be displayed completely in the field, I select all and copy it elsewhere to read it more comfortably…) ++++++++++++ For the rest, exporting with various settings (whole page or selection only, with Text style modified or not,…) I've not been able to reproduce the behaviour you reported. I doubt though that it's related to the Text styles. What were your export settings? Were they identical for both PDFs? GM Manny Posted January 10 Author Posted January 10 Thanks for responding! Indeed it wasn't the Text Styles. As it turns out, there is a an option in Export... Under the advanced category there is "Rasterize" and by default it was set to "Unsupported properties". Switching this over to "Nothing" solved the problem. Thank goodness I know what "Rasterize" means, or this may have taken a lot longer to figure out. Case closed, and another great lesson learned by engaging with the community. Thanks! Oufti 1 Quote
