Torsten-Eriksson Posted January 7 Posted January 7 (edited) Hi, I've been using decorations för a paragraph style to make the background of the text gray. I use -1 indent for all sides (top, bottom, left, right) to get some gray outside the text itself. This works perfekt. However if the paragraph span over a page break, the bottom on the first page and top of the second page, has no indent. Instead the characters are all the way to the border of the gray part. See attached figure. Is this possible to adjust? I didn't find any way to do this. I am using Macbook Pro 16 on Intel and running the latest MacOS (Sequoia 15.2) and Affinity Publisher 2.5.7 Thanks and regards, Torsten Edited January 7 by Torsten-Eriksson Quote
MikeTO Posted January 8 Posted January 8 This is a limitation of the paragraph decorations feature. The top and bottom indents apply only to the top and bottom of the paragraph, not to the middle when the paragraph is split between two columns or frames. The only solution I can think of right now is a manual fix, to add a paragraph break at the bottom of the column where the paragraph is split. Of course if you later edit text before it, then the paragraph split may move and you'll have to fix it manually. Good luck Quote Download a free PDF manual for Affinity Publisher 2.6 Download a quick reference chart for Affinity's Special Characters Affinity 2.6 for macOS Sequoia 15.3, MacBook Pro (M4 Pro) and iPad Air (M2)
