Hello, I have a new Nikon Z8 camera and the current version of Affinity 2.  According to the camera support list the Z8 RAW files in standard compression should be supported, yet when I try to import them I get a not supported message.  Just wondering what I am missing? Thanks for any help.

Hi @offgridmaine and welcome to the forums,

Nikon Z8 standard compression files are supported in 2.5.7 and Nikon HE compressed files are supported in the 2.6 Beta...

Can you upload a sample file where you see the 'Not Supported' message so we can take a look...

Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0
Affinity Designer 2.6.2 (3213) Beta | Affinity Photo 2.6.2 (3213) Beta | Affinity Publisher 2.6.2 (3213) Beta

MacBook Pro M3 Max, 36 GB Unified Memory, macOS Sonoma 14.6.1, Magic Mouse
HP ENVY x360, 8 GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 5 2500U, Windows 10 Home, Logitech Mouse

Thanks for the welcome, and your response.  I took 5 pictures this morning, raw/jpeg normal (star), raw/jpeg normal, raw jpeg basic (star), raw/jpeg basic, and RAW.  I'll attach the RAW image -- happy to attach the others if you need them --

Hi @offgridmaine,

Many thanks for the file... It's a Nikon RAW High Efficiency file rather than a RAW with standard compression which is why it doesn't open in 2.5.7...

The file opens in the 2.6.0 Beta though the Fisheye lens used for the shot isn't on the list of supported lenses for lens correction purposes...

Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0

Ah ok, thank you!  Do you happen to know how I change that to standard?  I searched the manual last night but didn't find much -- I can go thru the settings on the camera too....

Thanks -- those are the options I went thru this morning -- if I read it correctly those with a star are the high efficiency compression and those without are normal/standard.  So one would assume the RAW file I attached that does not have the star would be standard compression but it's apparently not, as are the other options without stars that I tried.......

If shooting RAW only set the camera to the last option...

Unfortunately that's the setting I used on the photo I attached this morning.  I'll keep searching and trying things and post here if/when I get it solved.....I just tried changing image size, but they still all say high efficiency....

Yes -- that was the RAW setting I used --
I found it!  It's in the RAW recording menu -- I assumed that was for video -- this should fix the issue!  Thanks again for your help, I appreciate it.
