Hello! I am coming from being a designer in Adobe InDesign and have a lot of experience with that program. Experimenting with Affinity Publisher to see how it compares.

I'm having two issues that I can't seem to resolve:

1. There seems to be a constricted zoom in PDF annotation apps. I exported my final, hyperlinked document from Publisher. Imported into the GoodNotes app on iPad. And I cannot pinch to zoom in as far as I can on similar documents created with Adobe InDesign. While I know some apps will have their own imposed limits with zooming in on the document, I created the exact same size documents before in InDesign and did not have this issue. I attached a video showing the zoom comparison between an export Publisher file compared to a similar file designed and export with InDesign.

2. I've tested a number of different export settings and yet, I still get poor quality or blurry artifacts. I've attached a screenshot of planner tabs that were created in Publisher. They always export blurry or worse. Also attached how they look in editing mode prior to export to show what the quality that is expected.

What can I do to resolve these problems? What can I try?

Not too sure on this one, but it does allude to a limitation imposed by the PDF reader/annotation app. Would be best to confirm this by opening the same PDF in another app (E.G Acrobat) and then see if the same restriction applies.

Could you share a copy of the document, the export PDF for comparison and also your desired PDF export settings so we can look into this further? I can provide a private upload link if needed.

Thanks!
