TBA Posted January 2 Posted January 2 I cannot get the 'update Numbers' function to work with a simple 'book' with only 2 chapters. Have done everything correctly as far as I can see but am now stuck. Also the text styles do not synchronise between chapters even if i select chapter 1 as 'master'? Quote
MikeTO Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Hi TBA. The screenshot of the Books panel shows chapter 2 as pages 6-3. This would happen if you had set chapter 2 to start on page 6 (which you've done correctly in Page Number Options) but created a second section in chapter 2 and restarted page numbering. Go to the Section Manager for Chapter 2 and see what settings you have for that second section. Text styles should sync but don't forget you have to choose Synchronise from the Books panel menu. Your book looks like it's mostly basic text. If this is the case, I recommend creating it as a single document with one story for each chapter instead of breaking it up into Chapter documents. This will save you a lot of extra work.
