since updating to sequoia, importing images into designer destroys the color. all colors are extremely washed out. has this issue with everything. even older files created in designer.

how image is supposed to look.

importing images

Welcome to the Affinity forums.

Does this happen with all images? Or images of a specific file-type?

What color format are the images?

so its something to do with the iPad pro's P3 color profile,  procreate, and PNG output. but I'm not exactly sure WHAT. some files are doing it while others aren't. specifically it's anything saved since the last iOS update, or sequoia update, procreate update, (can't tell because I updated them both at the same time. and I updated Designer just before I used it last night when I started having the issue. but as stated, older files are importing fine. so I'm going to assume its on the procreate end.

exported the file as a TIFF and the color wasn't destroyed. I'm thinking it's an alpha channel thing, but can't prove it.

seeing as how its most likely coming from procreate, I'll consider it a problem for another forum, and thank you for your time and attention.

There's an Affinity issue with PNG files created from Procreate that use Display P3, where the 8-bit image is incorrectly interpreted as 32-bit. Logged as bug AF-4693.
