Affinity Photo v1 Ipad - Clone Brush Tool Does Not Work On Second Pixel Layer

I follow the steps on this video. I’m at 6:17

I add a pixel layer to remove the letters on the T-shirt of the girl. I could do It.

 

Then I add a second pixel layer to remove the yellow road sign on the bottom.

 

However Clone Brush Tool does not work as you see on my screenshot video.

I did take sample too before brushing the road sign.

It's difficult to tell what's happening, but you can make it easier by:

1. Tapping the Pin icon in the Layers panel header so the panel remains visible while you work with the Clone Brush Tool; and
2. tapping the arrow icon at the right of the Context Bar so we can see the additional settings, especially what layer you're sampling from.

I think you have the wrong layer selected in the Layers panel. Shouldn't you be sampling and painting in the upper pixel layer, rather than the second one?

I'll need a video showing it not working, with the Layers panel pinned open, and with seeing the right-side of the Context Bar to confirm which layer(s) you're sampling from.

Yes, but in that one, you are painting on the wrong layer. As I suggested, you would probably need to be painting on the upper pixel layer, not the lower pixel layer.

You stated that neither worked, but you have not shown us the information I requested while painting on the upper pixel layer.

I found why It does not work. 

 

Now I chose “Current Layer & Below” at Source part on the Context Toolbar.

 

Now It works.
