mitarashi Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 The images displayed in the navigator are blurred. Please improve the display quality so that the navigator can be used as an overall preview of the image. Quote
GarryP Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 (edited) I think you might be using the Navigator in a way that it wasn’t designed to be used (it’s not meant to be a ‘preview’ panel, which you might be able to use menu “View → New View" for instead), but maybe it would be nice to have an option to have it display either a low-resolution image or a high resolution image. Either way I don’t think this is a Bug but it could be a Feature Request. A moderator might move this thread for you so there’s no need to duplicate this elsewhere. mitarashi Posted December 29, 2024 Author Posted December 29, 2024 It may indeed be a feature request, not a bug. Also, maybe it's just my way of thinking...but there doesn't seem to be a necessity to have separate navigator and preview. Now perhaps they use a scaled down image for the navigator, but I see no reason why they should bother to do so, and I am stressed about the blurred images. Quote

The Navigator has to be separate for those who use it to pan and zoom the active document window. If the navigator was just another view, you couldn't see what part of the page you're viewing and easily pan to a specific point. But fortunately, Affinity gives us both ways of working so if you just want a separate window then you can create a new view. This is not to deny the function that the navigator is currently performing. If the quality of the images displayed can be improved, the tool will be able to provide both navigation and an overall preview. A new view would be fine if you want to preview in a larger size.
