Tony Webb Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 I have cut out the background fron a photo and now want to crop it. I am unable to crop it. I select the crop icon and set the area that I want to be cropped. I am then unabket to crop it. If I select cut from the edit menu nothing happens. Your guide states to select area to be cropped and then select apply (I can't find apply). If it is by right clicking my mouse nothing shows! I originally wanted to mask the hand at the bottom of the photo by cloniong over it but I am unable to do this. If I select alt and right click my mouse to clone the table (the black at the side) nothing happens. How can I solve this. I'm not sure what to do, crop or clone. I would like to see the final result. Quote
MikeTO Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 Hi @Tony Webb and welcome to the forums. The Apply button is the blue button in the Context Toolbar in the top-left of the window. At least on my Mac, in AP V2 hitting the Return key will do the same thing as clicking the Apply button. There's no reason why you shouldn't be able to do this, but, left click, not right click! Tony Webb Posted December 26, 2024 Author Posted December 26, 2024 Clicking doesn't work with my mouse or mouse pad when I use affinity photo or publisher. I also frequently get stopped working or not responding notices whilst using these apps. It's a pain! Quote

Not even when using the Move tool to select an object like a square, vector, or text item? Tony Webb Posted December 28, 2024 Author Posted December 28, 2024 I can move the mouse around and do most things. The problem is with using the crop tool. I can get the crop grid to show but I can only adjust one side of the crop square. Most of the time it's the outer left edge of the crop tool. I can't move the other sides. Quote
GarryP Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Can you record a full-screen (whole application UI) video showing us what happens? And can you make it clear to us (in the video or written) where/when you are clicking and where/when you are dragging? Quote
