pagelayoutt Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 After setting aside the first three pages of a new 8.5x11 document for title, copyright and TOC, I placed a 14-page DOCX file on page 4. I successfully flowed the entire text. However, I was dismayed to discover that the content of the very last partial page is centered instead of starting at the top left and flowing to the middle of the page. I tried playing with the align commands under the layer tab, but the entire last frame then moved upward, thereby making the first few lines float off into space. I tried to search for a solution in Mike Loader's Expert Guide to AffPub, but I didn't find anything helpful. What am I doing wrong? I would appreciate suggestions on what to adjust. Quote
thomaso Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Don't use object alignment (<- Toolbar) but text alignment (<- Context Toolbar). Nevertheless, your text does not look just aligned "Centre vertically", so you might need to show "Special Characters" (<- menu Text) to detect possible break characters and/or check the "Space before/after" in the paragraph style (<- Paragraph Panel > Spacing) . Thank you. I tried Top Align, too. My text flowed up above the top margin. Quote
