I have a Windows Surface Pro 8 running Windows 11 and I can not run either Affinity Designer nor Affinity Photo on it. It starts the program, I can see it in the Task list, and then it goes away. I don't get an error message. I've tried even running it as Administrator to no avail. I've upgraded to the latest version of AD V2 and tried it again, but still no go.

Is there an error file I can look for to see what the issue is? I've never been able to run either program on this machine which is just weird.

@flossqueen: You might check the Windows Event Log:

Or look for crash reports:

Errors such as you describe are often related to issues with the graphics drivers, so ensuring they are updated may help.

These are the two errors I'm seeing in the log files. What's the best way to get help with this?

I'm not sure what those entries indicate; sorry. That might require someone from Serif, when they get to this topic.

Did you install using the MSI/EXE version of the installer, or the MSIX version, or from the Microsoft Store? Whichever way you tried, I would suggest uninstalling both applications and choosing one of the other installers. So, if you've installed using the MSIX installer, after the uninstall (from the Start menu, or via the Settings app), download the MSI/EXE version of the installer from your account at the Affinity Store, and see if that one works better for you.

Thanks Walt but nothing works. I've tried both versions of the installer for X86, uninstalling and rebooting in between and Affinity Designer V2 just will not get beyond attempting to run, then dying. I'll have to figure out how to get support to look at this as I'm baffled.

Your creation of the topic here will have resulted in a support ticket, so they will see this at some point.
