Hi to all,

What am i doing wrong. I bought weis Luts pack but every time i try and use them I struggle, it's not as easy to preview than tone mapping persona and when I use them I have to randomly select a Lut and find it is not working and then randomly select another.

I wnt to live adjustment add lut then select lut. Nope not working. Try again. Nope Not what I wanted.

When I go..... Tone Mapping. You get a preview?

Luts... it seems a guessing game?

Please tell me i am doing it wrong.

Thanks

Sorry, but no, it's largely a guessing game.

Prior to the 1.9 release of Affinity Photo, LUT previews were provided in the Adjustments panel, just as with other kinds of adjustments. However, users tend to install huge sets of LUTs, and when they do that, generating the previews takes a long time. Users complained about the long time it was taking to display the Adjustments panel, so the previews for the LUTs were removed to improve performance. So now it's a guessing game, instead.

However, there are two ways of using them: you can install the LUTs (using the Adjustments panel), or import them individually one at a time by adding a new LUT adjustment layer from the Layers panel and importing it from that dialog. If you're using that second method, it's more of a guessing game than if you use the Adjustments panel. At least with the Adjustments panel you can easily pick a LUT, and if it doesn't match what you want you can simply click on another one.

I'm not sure which of the two approaches you're using.
