There is a document created with Affinity Photo 2 previous version. After upgrading today to version 2.5.7 the document opens with no layers but just a blank screen. If saved as a new document, the size remains (67.8 MB) but when opened this new document result is the same. Blank screen (white), no layers.

Hi @matti-san and welcome to the forums,

Can you upload your Affinity Photo file so we can take a look at what might be going on...

Are you on Mac or Windows?

Very weird document.

Only way to recover it fully was via Publisher (add pages) then edit in APhoto and saved as APhoto document (attached)

Do backups!

Thanks a lot!
Backups alway done, so not a problem. I wonder which way the document is "weird". I have done some fine tuning here and there, but everything with AP editing tools. So what makes it very weird?
BTW I opened it also in Publisher which only gave me the first layer on the first page plus one blank white page.

In AFPhoto 2.5.6 I also see a blank page. But in the bottom status bar it shows that there are 2 pages. clicking the left arrow it goes to page one and displays it correctly. Maybe you can try this too.

Two pages in an .aphoto document may indicate it has been created or edited in APub, the only Affinity app that enable us to add pages.

Looks like thomaso has correct. I remember having opened the .afphoto in Publisher. Probably by accident and most likely have added a "page" to it. Removing the page in AP fixes the issue. Thanks all.
