affinota Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 Hi, I have inserted a new text field on a page and made some endnotes. Now the already existing text field below has the lower endnote as the inserted text field above. It should have higher endnote. Can I change the chronology of the text fields for the endnote count? cheers affinota #edit: I just deleted the field below, made a new field and copied the text, now the number has changed to a higher endnote. But is there any better solution for such problem? Quote
walt.farrell Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 It would help to have screenshots showing the problem, @affinota, but numbering issues are often related to the order of layers on the page (as shown in the Layers panel), where objects lower in the layer stack are presumed to have been created earlier than objects higher in the layer stack, and thus get lower numbers. Perhaps that explains what you're seeing, but we'd need to see the page and the layers to say for sure. affinota 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. affinota Posted December 18, 2024 Author Posted December 18, 2024 @walt.farrell ah! I suppose, that's the point! I must change the layer order! Will try it next days, thanks! #edit: it works, thanks! Quote
