Selection Marquee select objects without intersection

When I drag the poninter, to select an object, the tool selects the object without touching it.

 

I have the 2.5.7 version.

Something I didn't post... this originally was a PDF I opened in designer.

You have a Mitre setting of 22.926 on some objects which is causing the issue.

The normal Mitre setting is 1.5.

Unless you changed it for a specific reason, I would change it back

Well, I just checked, and I never changed the Mitre, actually I never used. 

 

And according to my screen is 1,5

You need to select a layer to see its stroke values.

Select the large rectangle with the Move Tool then check the Mitre value

well, @carl123 I didn't select the object, you are correct.. this was imported from the PDF, maybe was something created in Illutrator.
