I recently copied several texts into Publisher 2.5.7 for iPad using the clipboard, and each time I was greeted by that "allow paste" dialog from iPadOS, which makes serious work impossible.

Fortunately, I found out, this can be disabled on a per-app basis in the iPadOS app settings, and now I can work properly. I'm referring to the setting "Paste from Other Apps" (taken from a random screenshot on my phone since I'm not on my iPad right now) which can be set to "Allow" once and for all instead of "Ask":

This might be a TestFlight thing, Serif, but I don’t see that setting in the Publisher Beta 2.6.0 2950 app settings - only in the release version settings.

You absolutely need to ensure that this setting is included in 2.6, or your iPad customers will end up in psychiatry one by one.

Serif, did you foolishly fill the usability specialist role you advertised internally? If so, be transparent with your customers. Continuing without proper UX expertise both insults and affects your entire customer base.

I believe this type of setting is dynamic on iPadOS:

  1. Copy some text in an app from an app such as Notes or Mail
  2. Paste that text into the Publisher beta - you will be prompted to allow it so allow it
  3. Go to Settings - if you're already on the screen for the Publisher beta, back out and then select it again - the option will now be there

Thank you, Mike, that's correct - dynamic. The setting was added by iPadOS when I checked again.
