bbrother Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Steps to Reproduce: Open Affinity Designer, Photo, or Publisher. Navigate to the "Characters" panel. Click once to expand the dropdown menu where you can select and apply a character style to the selected text. Click again to collapse the dropdown menu. The dropdown menu will remain in a focus state, indicated by a thin blue outline. Press the up or down arrow key on your keyboard while the dropdown menu is in a focus state. Observe that the application crashes unexpectedly. Additional Notes: This issue affects all three Affinity applications: Designer, Photo, and Publisher. The bug was identified while using windows version 2.5.7. The bug is also present in the publicly available beta version 2.6.0.2950 (Windows). A DMP file from the crash report, specifically from Affinity Publisher version 2.5.7, is included bellow↓. b0441c01-ff87-43f1-9cb2-244986d7b8ae.dmp Patrick Connor 1 Quote

Hangman Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 The crash occurs when selecting [No Style] from the Character Style dropdown using the up or down arrow keys. Using the left or right arrow keys to make the selection doesn't result in a crash. bbrother Posted December 15, 2024 Author Posted December 15, 2024 @Hangman After further testing I found that the crash occurs in the following situations: You try to change from "some style" to [No Style] using the up arrow key. When [No Style] is selected and you try to change to "some style" using the down arrow key. When [No Style] is selected and you try to go to New.. using the up arrow key. P.S. @Patrick Connor how about an additional discount in the future when V3 is available for finding bugs that may threaten data loss and removing my warning points that Callum and DanC gave me. Just kidding, some gingerbread for Christmas will be enough. Best regards and Merry Christmas and Happy and fruitful New Year to you personally and the whole team . Quote
