my screen has lost most of the tools and become elongated

Ive turned on my computer today and found my documents are on an elongated black screen. I have layer history and little side bar of some tools but noting else please help ive spent alot of time trying to add the tools back. Including  putting on the latest update, restarted,  looked at other documents its all the same at other document's and gotten no where. I am trying to do the order of service for my father inlaws funeral need to get it done by sunday night. How did they vanish the whole header bar

the top tool bar is not there anymore  nor the side with stroke colours etc

The quickest thing to try first is to use menu “Window → Studio → Reset Studio”.

Thankyou, tried before updating and just tried again, no change sadly thankyou for the suggestion

I don’t use macOS so I don’t know the particular foibles of Affinity on that OS but I think there’s a way to bring all of the panels back onto the screen.

It’s possibly something to do with Floating windows, or something like that. You can maybe try some other “Window” menu options to see what happens.

If you are really desperate then you can launch the application while holding the CTRL key and then start resetting things, one-by-one, until it starts working.
