Harrington Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 See Below. I have been placing this object inline with text successfully for 9 chapters. Now, after placing itself outside the text cursor placement, I cannot select it to delete it. It is an object created in Designer. When I select it in the Layers panel, it gets little crosses on the corners, but still cannot be deleted or cut. I cannot delete its two different parts. I have unlocked layers, unlocked objects, unlocked text. I have checked the Resources Panel, just in case. I have stomped my foot, but that didn't help either! Oh, and it actually prints on the page when tested. Is there any way to get rid of this thing, short of putting a white box over it and embarrassing myself when the printer sees that amateur move? MikeTO Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 From the Layers panel we can see that the layer is a child of the master and not a child of the text frame on the master. It is not pinned inline. If it's like this just on the one page and not on all pages based on this master, choose Layer > Master Page > Edit Detached. Stomp your feet for good luck and then delete the object. 🙂 Quote Download a free PDF manual for Affinity Publisher 2.6 Download a quick reference chart for Affinity's Special Characters Affinity 2.6 for macOS Sequoia 15.3, MacBook Pro (M4 Pro) and iPad Air (M2)
Harrington Posted December 11, 2024 Author Posted December 11, 2024 OMGG. It worked! Thank you MikeTO! I have no idea how this happened, but I'm hoping I don't do it again. If I do, knock wood, at least I know how to fix it now. Â A million times over--thanks! MikeTO 1 Quote
