Price increase in view?

So, here we go. The current offer for extension packs is said to be the last time such a discount will be offered. Should we expect a general price increase? If a presumably high volume of copies is given away for free, the missing money will have to come from somewhere.

Not that I find the current price is high. In particular, if I could make actual use of Publisher, I would openly say that the Affinity Suite is sold for an incredibly low price. So low, that one would have to get it just for owning it. Only, I fear this advantage will fade a bit with the time, and the suite will become less competitive.

It will certainly not be the last time that there will be discount campaigns, because such campaigns usually generate more new customers or entice existing customers to buy more than they would without these discounts.
And the fact that the software is free for educational institutions and no-profit organizations may be an economic misstake in the short term, but in the long run it is a big step towards attracting new customers. Because most people who are then familiar with the Affinity programs will not subscribe or buy from Adopay or Corel.

Perhaps they are making this point loud and clear in the hopes that for days, maybe weeks, after the discount finishes, people will not be complaining that they missed it and asking if they can still have it at the discount price!
