astaldaran Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 What Application are you using? [Designer/Photo/Publisher] Publish 2.5.6 Are you using the latest release version? My version is newer than the latest per that link... (it says 2.5.5.). I downloaded this as a trial as I am trying to decide whether to buy it preferably while the sale is still going on. Can you reproduce it? Yes it fails every time. Does it happen for a new document? If not can you upload a document that shows the problem? Yes if I specify a new document, I choose the format (letter for example) and it crahses. If I open a pre-made template on the splash screen it says loading and fails or if I open a template I have elsewhere it fails. If you cannot provide a sample document then please give an accurate description of the problem for example it should include most of the following: What is your operating system and version (Windows 11, OSX Ventura, iOS 16 etc)? Is hardware acceleration (in Preferences > Performance) ON or OFF ? (and have you tried the other setting?) Yes I turned it off using the holding down control method, no change. What happened for you (and what you expected to happen) It acts like it is loading the document and instantly crashes once it has, presumably, loaded it. Provide a recipe for creating the problem (step-by-step what you did). Open existing template, create, or open one from the splash screen and it crashes/ Screenshots (very handy) or a screen capture/video. attached Any unusual hardware (like tablets or external monitors or drives that may affect things) or relevant other applications like font managers or display managers. Hardware is a bit old i5-4570 with integrated graphics intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 Did this same thing used to work and if so have you changed anything recently? (software or hardware) NA just downloaded Recording 2024-12-08 220806.mp4 Quote
Hangman Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 Hi @astaldaran and welcome to the forums, You most likely need to check that all your graphics drivers are completely up to date. Other users experiencing similar issues have resolved the issue by updating their drivers... Check that first and then let us know if you still have the same issue...
