Finding Bugs Everywhere Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 How do you activate the ability to edit the nodes of a polygon? Quote

Do you mean these "points" on a Polygon made with the Polygon tool? If yes then convert the Polygon to a Curve object with the Convert to Curves on the Context toolbar or use the menu item Layer > Convert to Curves. Now you can use the Node tool on the nodes (points). Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
R C-R Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Alternately, if you mean to change the number of points (vertexes) of the polygon, you can do that by changing the number shown in the Sides: field of the context toolbar. Another alternative to the suggestions above would be to use the Point Transform Tool (only available in Designer). When asking questions it’s better to give us as much information about what you have, preferably with full-screen screenshots and maybe an example document, and tell us what you are trying to do with it so we can have a better idea of what you might need. Also, it’s usually best to tell us which Affinity application(s) you have so we can tailor the suggestions/answers to the software which you can use. Quote

Like this. And of course, once quoted you should add your own comment about what you have quoted, like I did here. There is no reason just to quote something from a previous post -- we can see the original. You’ve probably moved on since December, but for others who need to know: If you’ve created an object from the shapes tool—such as a circle, square, polygon, star, or something else—these remain a type of advanced objects that you can manipulate through their properties until you decide otherwise. For example, with a star object, you can increase or decrease the number of points using the context toolbar. You can do this as long as the object is still a shape. If you want the shape object to be pure vector curves, it needs to be converted to curves. You can do this in several ways with the object selected: Command + Enter (Control + Return on Win) Layer -> Convert to Curves Context toolbar: Convert to Curves button Right-click: Convert to Curves I still sometimes forget to convert, but Command + Enter is now firmly in my muscle memory, so it’s quickly fixed.
