WebPlus software or similar

Hi!

During several years in the past I used WebPlusX5, … X8 and was very happy. I feel imprisoned by WordPress and want my freedom back to edit and to FTP my site to a hosting server. I have it very simple, texts, images, links to pdf files and a couple of videos. 

Does Serif sell a product which is similar to WebPlus? Or could you recommend very similar, intuitive software? Thanks

You may find Rocketcake to be a useful alternative. The basic version is free and the Pro version costs €49.

Or Xara Webdesigner. More expensive, but I think more similar to WebPlus.

Take a look at WYSIWYG Web Builder. I would strongly encourage you to download the trial version in the first instance, because (as far as I know) they don’t normally give refunds on purchased licences.

In 2024 I would forget trying to develop static webpages. Instead I’d invest the the time into using and developing a cms like Wordpress.

If you're a Mac user, Nova by Panic looks pretty nifty. I used the precursor program Coda for many years and enjoyed it very much.

I’ve used Xara Pro+ for a number of years. Excellent program.
