Affinity Photo freeze on Mac also Finder dock disappears requiring a Force Quit both Affinity Photo and Finder.

Equipment:

Mac OS Sequoia 15.1.1

Apple Mac Studio Max M1, 32Gb ram 512Gb ssd, 5 external hard drives

2x Benq PD3200u monitors and  1x LG Oled C2 65” TV

Circumstances:

Launch Affinity Photo (no other apps open) / open .jpg file / Drag window from monitor one to monitor two / resize image using magnifier tool / expand window using green button / window goes fullscreen / Application freezes, no menus or tools work / Force quit Affinity Photo / Finder Dock is then inoperable (hidden)/ Force quit Finder / now Dock function returns.

This is repeatable with exactly same results.

Hi Macmack,

Apologies for the delayed response,

As far as I'm aware we haven't had any other reports of this please could you tell me if this issue still occurs and which version of Affinity you are using?

Thanks
C

I'm having similar issues with the dock - it is again occurring since updating to v2.5.7. No other application causes an issue. I imagine my experience is possibly related to that described above.

My original report with video recording:
