Not sure if format painter is correct name.

Example : Could select text ... hit the format painter button ... then click on another text object, and it takes on the same properties / format of the previous text.

What kind of feature or tool should this be? Don't you mean the "Style Picker Tool"?

In some of my older programs it's format painter.

But that is what I'm looking for ... Style Picker ... thank you.

Now if I can only find it .........

I didn't even understand from your post that you were "looking for" this feature/tool. I understood it more as you questioning the correctness of the tool's name 🙂

It’s hiding in the Tool “repository”, so you may need to drag it out and into your Tools Panel first. It looks similar to the Colour Picker tool.
