Staff Patrick Connor Posted December 5, 2024 Staff Posted December 5, 2024 Hi All, We have just made available a fifth build of 2.6.0 beta - version 2.6.0.2950 - This was created to address bugs and make improvements to the new features announced in this post The fix list for this build is here. Improvements & Significant Fixes [in Designer and Photo] CMD/Ctrl+Enter will no longer convert text objects to curves (while in a text editing tool). This was catching out a lot of Adobe users for whom the shortcut was the equivalent of pressing Esc to commit the text and stop editing. Tools affected are any that can add/edit text. Frame Artistic Table Curve/Line Allow the default settings for Inpainting Source to be saved [APL-674] Channel Mixer and Levels Adjustments were previously missing the "Add Preset" option but it is now available on iPad. New Analytics Prompt In this version, we've made some improvements to the usage & performance data we collect from the app in order to better understand which features are used the most, and the way in which people work with Affinity. The data is still entirely anonymised and doesn't involve any personalised tracking. To make this change as transparent as possible, we've reset the consent setting (first introduced in 2.1.0). That means, even if you've previously opted-in to analytics, you will see our new analytics consent prompt the first time you run 2.6.0. As always, you are entirely free to reject collection of these anonymised metrics, and your choice can be reviewed at any time in Settings on the General page "Send anonymous usage information". JhonatanS Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 I'm happy to see this Analytics Prompt being used to help Serif/Canva understand which tools need more attention and further improvements. Positively, to better direct what type of usage the community/professionals needs, and what Affinity Designer is made for. Patrick Connor 1 Quote
