Search and Replace criteria set, but Replace grayed out

I am trying to do a document-wide replacement: all instances of red EB Garamond semi-bold text should be replaced with red EB Garamond semi-bold ITALIC text. Find locates the very first semi-bold word and then stops. Both replacement options are grayed out. What am I overlooking?

You have to click the Find button first and only if it finds your search criteria will the Replace options become active. Can you show us what it finds?

Thanks. After a few glitches, I got it to work. However, I am still puzzled. Why do some headings appear twice and others appear only once? Mystery ...

This could mean you have two versions of the font installed at the same time.
